(With POL-TURKEY-ERDOGAN-GOVERNMENT) ISTANBUL, Aug 29 (KUNA) -- Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutgolu announced here Friday the formation of the new 62nd government. The name-list of the new cabinet will be forwarded to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for approval.

Prime Minister Davutgolu, speaking after a meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said the president approved the new government line-up.
Davutgolu named Mevlut Cavusoglu as minister of foreign affairs, succeeding him in the key post, Mehmet Simsek as finance minister and Nihat Zeybekci as economy minister.
He also named Yalcin Akdogan as deputy premier. The latter was very close to the president. Also named to serve in this post was Numan Kurtulmus.
The new government is due to present its manifesto to parliament next week for a vote of confidence, thus Erdogan's Justice and Development Party would enjoy a majority in the 550-member assembly; occupying 313 seats. (end) ta.rk
