KUWAIT, Aug 25 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Naval Force carried out a drill with live ammunition scoring direct hits as a result of the naval forces' hard work and devotion and rigorous training.
The Ministry of Defense, in a statement released on Monday, quoted General Chief-of-Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Al-Othman, as praising, after attending the exercise, efforts of the participating personnel including officers for accurate targeting.
Lieut. Gen. Al-Othman, accompanied by senior officers, reached the shooting site aboard a naval boat. He nudged the participating troops and officers to continue to excel for sake of upgrading the Kuwaiti Army readiness and performance for protection of the homeland, with guidance of His Highness the Amir's sagacious leadership.
He conveyed to the navy men greetings of the Deputy Prime and Minister of Defense Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah. (end)
