ISTANBUL, July 29 (KUNA) -- Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu discussed in phone calls with US Secretary of State John Kerry and Qatari Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Atiyah the efforts to reach a truce deal between Israel and the Palestinian resistance groups in Gaza Strip.
Davutoglu had two conversations with Kerry and three with Al-Atiyah before they joined a video conference Tuesday evening, Ihlas news agency reported.
They mulled ways to reach a ceasefire and a permanent calm in the Strip.
The Turkish minister also discussed the issue with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Iyad Madani. (end)
