GAZA, July 29 (KUNA) -- The Izzuddin Al-Qassam Brigades Tuesday confirmed that they killed at least 110 Israeli soldiers since the Israeli aggression on the beleaguered Gaza Strip.
They said in a statement that their attacks on Israeli occupation forces, including clashes erupted in the eastern Gaza Strip, injured hundreds of Israeli military personnel since July 7.
Brigades' fighters, who crossed into Israel via a tunnel, killed 19 Israeli soldiers in a gun battle near the community of Nahal Oz close to the border with the Gaza Strip, the statement added.
For their part, Al-Quds Brigades said Tuesday that their members bombarded Ashkelon city, south Israel, with two rockets.
Israel said Tuesday that at least 10 soldiers of its army were killed in the besieged strip in attacks launched by Palestinian activists in some areas controlled by Israeli occupation forces.
In a related development, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will convene his decision-making security cabinet later in the day to discuss the latest developments in the strip and the possibility of intensifying a wide-scale aggression on the strip.
The Palestinians' casualty toll in this war has soared to more than 1,130 deaths and 6,500 injured, most of whom are children, women and elderly. (end)
