Info Ministry hosts reception on Eid

KUWAIT, July 28 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Information on Monday held a reception for its staffers on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr in the presence of Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah.
Sheikh Salman conveyed to the audience the Eid greetings and best wishes of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
He affirmed the keenness of the Ministry of Information to keep abreast of the latest events in the region and beyond and convey truth the audience in a professional way via the radio and TV stations.
"The State is ready to provide all necessary resources for the various sectors of the Ministry to bring about a quantum leap in the media and communications fields," he affirmed.
At the end of the reception, Sheikh Salman toured the various radio and TV studios as well as the newsrooms.
He also paid inspection visits to the transmitter stations in Al-Sabiya and Al-Metla' neighborhoods.
The reception was attended by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information Salah Al-Mubaraki and other senior officials of the Ministry. (end) tb.gb
