Probe team only authorized body to determine causes of plane crash

(WITH ALGERIA-MALI-ARRIVAL Series) ALGIERS, July 26 (KUNA) -- Algeria's Transport Minister Amar Ghoul stressed that the Air Algeire flight crash investigation team is the only body authorized to determine the causes of this catastrophe.
Ghoul, who is currently in Mali to follow up on the incident, told Algeria Press Services Saturday that according to international regulations "the responsibility of the investigation relies on the country where the crash takes place." He added that Mali will cooperate with other countries, including Algeria, to probe this air disaster and transfer victims of the crash to their homeland.
He pointed out that the Spanish aircraft chartered by Air Algerie had obtained all international and European licenses and had carried out five different flights successfully.
After the crash, President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika declared a three-day national mourning starting Friday. (end) ft.nfm
