KUWAIT, July 14 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has commended the role by the former president of Al-Azhar University Ahmed Omar Hashem for serving the Islamic religion.
Receiving Hashem at Seif Palace on Monday, His Highness the Crown Prince expressed hope that Egypt would enjoy progress, prosperity, security and stability to carry on with efforts for building and Development.
During the meeting, Hashem, who is a member of Al-Azhar Senior Scholars Authority, lauded the role by the State of Kuwait in the field of humanitarian and charity work, both on the regional and international levels.
He also commended Kuwait's support to Egypt, expressing congratulations to the Kuwaiti leadership and people on the occasion of the Holy Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.
The meeting was attended by head of the Diwan of His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Faisal Al-Saud Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Crown Prince Diwan's Undersecretary for Ceremonies and Protocol Sheikh Mubarak Sabah Al-Salem Al-Hamoud Al- Sabah. (end) msa
