KUWAIT, July 10 (KUNA) -- The Association of National Olympic Committees President Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah on Thursday discussed cooperating with Egypt in order to resolve some of the problems affecting sports in that country.
Sheikh Ahmad expressed ANOC's complete readiness to cooperate with the Egyptian government and the Egyptian Olympic Committee in order to overcome any predicaments sports in the country may be facing, read a statement.
During a meeting with Egypt's visiting Minister of Youth and Sports Khaled Abdulaziz at the ANOC HQ in Kuwait, he said he was given assurances that the Egyptian government would cooperate with the international Olympic movement.
This cooperation would be through ensuring local laws that run in accordance with the Olympic Charter, thus ensuring Egypt's presence at global sports venues.
Minister Abdulaziz, for his part, was thankful for the efforts of ANOC in support of Egypt. (end) fs.sd
