Int'l community condemns Israeli attacks on Gaza

CAPITALS, July 9 (KUNA) -- The recent Israeli attacks on Gaza and the West Bank received multiple reactions and was strongly condemned by different countries on Wednesday, with Chairman of the Arab Parliament Ahmad Al-Jarwan calling on the UN Security Council to urgently interfere.
Al-Jarwan has condemned the recent reports that Israel is willing to increase the attacks by preparing about 40,000 soldiers to attack Gaza.
Moreover, he called on the international community to take serious measures to stop this crime against humanity.
Meanwhile, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) said that Foreign Ministers of member states will discuss a quick response to the Israeli crimes through the UN Security Council and the International Criminal Court.
In the same context, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Israeli attacks and use of unnecessary force against the Palestinian citizens.
A statement warned of rising death tolls and destruction of properties caused by the raids, adding that such actions would increase the level of tension in the Middle East.
Italy on its part expressed its sorrow for the death of civilians and children in Gaza, calling on those responsible to protect citizens and save the peace process in the Middle East, Algeria also strongly condemned the savage Israeli attacks, accusing the international community of encouraging these criminal acts by keeping silent against the Israeli violations.
Moreover, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak expressed his regret over the death of innocent citizens, calling on all sides to abide by the international law.
