Palestinian Nat'l Council urges Arab parliaments to discuss Israeli aggression in Gaza

AMMAN, July 8 (KUNA) -- The Palestinian National Council called on Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) and Arab Parliament to hold an urgent meeting to discuss retaliation against Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people in Gaza, which killed 17 people and injured scores others.
President of the Amman-based Council Saleem Al-Zaanoun, in a statement Tuesday, called on countries around the world and international organizations to immediately intervene to stop the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip and occupied West Bank.
The Israeli random killing in Palestinian towns, villages and refugee camps will not discourage the Palestinian people from resisting the occupation until the regaining of their rights, he said.
The Palestinian people, said Al-Zaanoun, have all the right to resist the occupation in all internationally-recognized means.
He urged the Arab, Islamic and international parliaments to support the Palestinian people against the Israeli aggression. (end) ab.bs
