Zakat House organizes Iftar proj. in Albania

SARAJEVO, July 7 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Zakat House organized an Iftar project in Albania in cooperation and coordination with the Kuwaiti Embassy in Tirana, providing packages of food items to some 5,500 people.
This project, Ambassador Najeeb Al-Bader told KUNA, Monday, is being executed for the third Ramadan in succession. This year's beneficiaries, in both northern and southern regions of the country, are to be reached with the help of nine Iftaa (Islamic guidance) institutions and eight charitable societies.
Al-Bader remarked such gestures are key to stress Islamic values such as solidarity especially during the holy month.
The Albanian bodies which are to distribute the packages expressed gratitude to the people and government of Kuwait for this support.
As is their custom every year, Zakat House and many other Kuwaiti charities are executing Iftar (Breaking fast) banquets projects in many Muslim countries or countries where there are Muslim communities including Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lebanon, Sudan and elsewhere.(end) aa.mah.wsa
