Kuwait sends urgent relief aid to flood-stricken Bosnia-Herzegovina

SARAJEVO, May 18 (KUNA) -- The Kuwait Joint Relief Committee and Al-Rahma International Charity, in cooperation with Kuwaiti Embassy in Sarajevo, sent Sunday financial and relief aid to victims of the floods that swept large areas of the Balkan country.
In statements to KUNA, Kuwait Ambassador Nasser Al-Mutairi said that the Kuwaiti aid will be distributed to the residents of the ravaged areas in central and northern the country.
He added that some of the aid will be sent to the makeshift camps established to host people who were displaced by the flood.
More than 20 people have been killed in the worst floods in more than a century in Bosnia, with thousands more forced to fled their homes in the past days. (end) aa.nsa.ibi
