CAIRO, April 23 (KUNA) -- Another Egyptian officer was killed on Wednesday during a raid on a militant hideout in Burj Al-Arab area near Alexandria.
Lt. Ahmed Saad was shot dead during the raid, one suspect was also killed and another was arrested in possession of two explosive belts, machine guns and homemade bombs, Egypt's official Middle East News Agency quoted Alexandria's police chief Police Maj. Gen. Amin Ezzedin as saying.
Earlier on Wednesday a senior Egyptian police officer was killed when an explosive device placed under his car in western Cairo blew up.
