Malaysia Airlines flight MH192 makes emergency landing

KUALA LUMPUR, April 21 (KUNA) -- A Malaysia Airlines plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Kuala Lumpur early Monday as police announced holding thorough investigation, Malaysian authorities announced.
Speaking to reporters today, Malaysian Police Chief Khalid Abu Bakar said the police will hold thorough investigation into the cause of the return of the Malaysian airplane MH192, noting that the initial investigations suggest an explosion in one of the plane's tyers.
"The plane encountered some difficulties during take-off and we knew that there was something wrong," the Star Newspaper quoted one of the passengers as saying.
For his part, Malaysian Transport Minister Hishammuddin Hussain said that the Malaysian Airlines will provide a report on MH192, which made an emergency landing from Kuala Lumpur en route to Bangalore, India.
"Such incidents must not occur as the company should present the ministry with the report as soon as possible," he added.
Hussain confirmed that the flight, which was carrying a total number of 166 people on board, is not similar to MH370 due to technical issues as Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia (DCA) will analyze the report. (end) aab.mjz.ba
