Kuwaiti students, teachers win GCC accolades

KUWAIT, April 19 (KUNA) -- Students and school administrators representing the Kuwaiti Ministry of Education at the GCC-sponsored 16th edition of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for distinguished Academic Excellence won a number of highly-coveted accolades, it was learned here on Saturday.
Kuwaiti student Hiba Al-Fadhli won the award for best student and Nawaf Al-Mutairi and Ala'a Al-Kanderi won for best teachers in addition to the administrative staff at the Kuwaiti school Subai'a bint Hareth for best-run school, said the Award coordinator Naji Dhaifalla, in a press statement.
He expressed satisfaction with the good showing of Kuwaitis at this event, promising that the Kuwaiti team for the next one will be larger and more competitive. (end) mf.ajs
