Min. of Health cautions public not to believe rumors about coronavirus

RIYADH, April 19 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Health cautioned the public in a statement on Saturday not to believe rumors, suppositions, and falsehoods regarding the deadly coronavirus disease and that well-documented and authentic information about the disease should be culled from the Ministry only.
The statement urged any entity that has scientifically-researched documentation on this disease to introduce it to the Ministry or a Saudi university or the National Scientific Council for Communicative Diseases to have it thoroughly and professionally vetted before, perhaps, adopting it as a possible cure.
Recent statistics have shown an increasing number of Saudis contracting coronavirus, whose cases have topped 66 which comprises 70 percent of all cases registered worldwide. However these numbers of cases have not reached the level of an epidemic according to WHO standards, concluded Saudi Minister of Health Abdullah Al-Rabieya. (end) yms.ajs
