Russia to deliver more sophisticated gunships to Iraq in June

MOSCOW, April 19 (KUNA) -- Russia is preparing to deliver a new batch of highly-sophisticated military helicopters to Iraq late June as per a USD 4.2 billion-deal signed in 2012.
The new batch will include a number of Mi-35 and Mi-28NE 'Night Hunter' attack helicopters, an official military source was quoted as saying.
Baghdad has received only four Russian-made Mi-35 aircrafts out of a total of 43 gunships agreed upon by the two governments in 2012. (end) as.ibi
