Amiri Diwan Minister en route to China

KUWAIT, April 14 (KUNA) -- Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, accompanied by officials, flew to China on Monday on an official visit due to last for several days.
Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad, also member of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development, is paying the official visit to Beijing in response to an official inviation by the Communist Party.
The visit, viewed with particular interest by the Chinese leaders, falls within His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber's outlook for transforming Kuwait into a lucrative business hub in the north of the Gulf.
His Highness the Amir's strategic approach interescts with a strategy, declared by Chinese President Xi Jinping, to set up "the economic belt," encompassing China, West Ssia, Europe and Africa, with aim of trading benefits and boosting cooperation among nations in these regions and continents.
The Kuwaiti delegation includes Advisor at the Amiri Diwan Dr. Yusuf Al-Ibrahim, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development Dr. Adel Al-Wuggayan, the Assistant Secretary General Dr. Riad Al-Fars, and the Director of Domestic Affairs at the Office of the Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs, Lulwa Al-Ne'meh.
