BRUSSELS, April 9 (KUNA) -- Ambassador Nasser Haji Al Muzayyan, Director of the Cooperation Council Affairs for the Arab states of the Gulf, in Kuwait''''s foreign ministry voiced his satisfaction over the outcome of the 20th political dialogue between the EU and GCC on senior official level which ended here Wednesday afternoon.
"Relations between the two blocs are very good and progressing towards a strategic relationship. The EU has a global influence and the GCC is the most successful organisation on the Arab and regional level," Al Muyzayyan, who headed the Kuwaiti delegation to the one-day meeting, told KUNA.
He noted that the meeting covered regional and international issues like Syria, Palestine, Iran, Iraq in additon to the fight against terrorism and marine piracy.
They also exchagend views on the Ukraine crisis.
"There was a big convergence of views on many issues of mutual interest," he added. (pickup previous) nk.sd
