KUWAIT, April 3 (KUNA) -- Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah on Thursday commended as "wonderful" the performance of "Kuwait - sincerity and steadfastness" operetta.
The operetta was conducted by Kuwaiti students Wednesday night under the auspices of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
It was attended by the Amir, visiting Turkish President Abdullah Gul and his wife Hayrunnisa Gul, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim.
"The wonderful performance was organized by the standing committee on national days and celebrations under the instructions of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah," chairman of the organising standing committee Sheikh Salman told reporters.
"It expresses the allegiance of the good sons of Kuwait to their homeland under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince," Sheikh Salman noted.
"Groups of students from various Ministry of Education schools countrywide presented a patriotic panorama of the country and the flourishing arts which reflects national unity and aspirations for a better future for Kuwait and other GCC countries," he added.
Sheikh Salman also commended the efforts being made by the standing committee and its Secretary-General Sheikha Amthal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to celebrate the national days and occasions and reflect a civilized portrait of the country through collective efforts and cooperation with the Ministry of Education.
