KUWAIT, March 20 (KUNA) -- The Interior Ministry has prepared an integrated
media plan to keep up with the forthcoming first World Police Sport and
Security conference, due on Sunday.
The conference, organized by the International Police Sports Union (USIP),
and to be held under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah
Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, will be attended by a number of specialists in the
field of anti-riot and violence, Director of Public Relations and Moral
Guidance Department, Acting Director of Security Media Department at the
Interior Ministry Colonel Adel Al-Hashash explained in a press statement.
He indicated that the event is also an important step towards protecting
spectators, securing sports competitions, and countering violence.
The ministry is keen to intensify security awareness on anti-rioting
campaigns at sports venues, and this is being supervised by the Security Media
Department in cooperation with some of the most renowned media outlets in the
country, added Al-Hashash.
In addition, he mentioned that the ministry will set up an integrated media
center during the conference, providing all media services for the event's
guests, reporters, and media sources in order to highlight media's significant
role in limiting fields riot and find ways to solve this issue. (end)
