Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah met President of the International Police Sports Union (USIP) Lieutenant General Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah

KUWAIT, March 19 (KUNA) -- Minister of Information and Minister of State
for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah met on Wednesday with
President of the International Police Sports Union (USIP) Lieutenant General
Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed USIP's preparations to host the
first World Police Sport and Security conference, entitled: "Sport to Serve
and Protect", on March 23 and 24 in Kuwait.
Sheikh Sabah stressed the importance that the conference should come out in
the most appropriate and honorable form for Kuwait, especially since it will
be held with wide international participation, affirming the ministry of
information's support and efforts to make the event successful.
For his part, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nawaf presented the Minister of Information
with the invitation to attend the event's opening ceremony, which will be held
under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber
Al-Sabah.
The meeting was attended by USIP Treasurer Colonel Abdulrahman Al-Haqqan,
Deputy Secretary General Lt.Col. Khalid Al-Najar, and the head of Protocol and
Relations Major Tariq Al-Sadani. (end)
