KUWAIT, March 18 (KUNA) -- Board Chairman and Director General of Kuwait
News Agency (KUNA) Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah received on
Tuesday Director General of the National Center for Educational Development
Dr. Reda Al-Khayat.
Dr. Al-Khayat affirmed during the meeting KUNA's significant role as to
supporting media activities, noting necessity of upgrading the national
educational and teaching sectors.
The center conducts researches and studies regarding educational criteria
and guidelines, necessary for developing the sector.
For his part, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij praised the center's positive role at
the educational level, stressing on its vital role for building a sound
society. He also underscored the media basic role for promoting positive
values for the youth sound upbringing.
KUNA's policy is primarily aimed at playing a pioneering role at the
cultural and educational levels, the chairman said, alluding to issuance of a
chain of publications, related to the national educational affairs. (end)
