KUWAIT, March 13 (KUNA) -- The Arab Planning Institute (API) signed here on
Thursday a cooperation agreement with the Royal Charity Foundation in Bahrain
to discuss areas of cooperation and take advantage of the latter's basic
services in the field of training, capacity building, specialized technical
consulting and institutional support.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Secretary-General of the Royal
Charity Foundation Dr. Mostafa Al-Sayed, Director-General of the Arab Planning
Institute Dr. Bader Othman Malallah and Bahrain's Ambassador to Kuwait, Sheikh
Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Al-Sayed told reporters on the sidelines of the signing ceremony that the
agreement stems from the desire of the foundation to develop its cadres,
saying it mainly aims to develop systems and methods of action adopted by the
foundation and determine the training needs of key departments.
He added that the agreement also includes the design and implementation of
training programs and the development of plans for the programs of workforce
and plans a career path, explaining that these aspirations are compatible with
one of the main objectives of the Arab Planning Institute to upgrade workers'
performance in the public and private sectors in the Arab world by offering a
series of training programs.
For his part, Malallah stressed the role played by the Bahraini foundation
at the developmental and humanitarian levels.
He also extolled the Kingdom's keenness in boosting the joint Arab action
as being one of the member states in the Institute.
He said cooperation with the Bahraini foundation was part of the
Institute's policy of expanding cooperation in various spheres. (end)
