(with photos) ISTANBUL, March 12 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Zakat (Alms) House opened the 22nd symposium on contemporary alms issues, which is organized in collaboration with the Presidency of Religious Affairs in Turkey, and attended by a number of prominent religious, educational, financial, and economic figures in the Islamic world.
For his part, Zakat House Director General Ibrahim Al-Saleh told KUNA that the symposium will discuss several researches concerning three important contemporary alms issues, including the Goodwill Loan Zakat, which is divided into two researches; Assets Zakat under Development and Ending Leased Assets by Ownership.
The importance of these symposiums lies in participation of elite of Islamic figures, during which they discuss and study latest in contemporary alms issues, upon which they issue recommendations and legal advices that would become eventually valuable references for various alms institutions all around the Islamic world.
He also noted that one of these symposiums' fruitful significances is issuance of a guide book for instructions of companies' alms account, as well as issuance of the model law draft for alms, which benefited many researchers and students.
In the same context, Al-Saleh noted that Zakat House is so keen to host specialized jurisprudential symposiums on recent alms issues, to which serves this great Islamic duty.
He pointed out the great support that Zakat House received from the Kuwaiti leadership and the Kuwaiti people in promoting and hosting such significant symposiums and lectures, noting at the same time that this symposium comes under the framework of their keenness to transfer Kuwait Zakat House's experience to other countries.
In addition, Al-Saleh expressed his gratitude to the Turkish government and people for their generosity and well-reception of this symposium, thanking also all the participants who dedicated their time and energy to assist during the symposium. (end) ta.ma KUNA 122132 Mar 14NNNN
