Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee Ali Al-Rashed
KUWAIT, March 5 (KUNA) -- Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign
Affairs Committee Ali Al-Rashed on Wednesday expressed hope that the dispute
among "the brothers in GCC states" would soon be solved through a Kuwaiti
mediation.
In a press release, MP Al-Rashed called for giving the State of Kuwait a
chance to broker a solution to the dispute.
"With profound concern we have followed up the recent developments among
the brothers in the GCC states which led to withdrawal of ambassadors of Saudi
Arabia, UAE and Bahrain from Qatar," he said.
Al-Rashed added that an invitation has been sent to First Deputy Prime
Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Hamad Al-Sabah to attend
next week meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committee to brief it on the latest
developments in this regard. (end)
