Awqaf Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Adel Al-Falah speaking in the conference
KUWAIT, March 5 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has a
vision for pioneering local and international Islamic action, given that
moderation has become a cultural cause that draws the attention of Muslims and
non-Muslim altogether, a senior ministry official said here on Wednesday.
The ministry is interested in the dissemination of moderation and
acceptance of others' viewpoints, the Ministry's Undersecretary Dr. Adel
Al-Falah told a news conference on the occasion of a conference on early
Muslim leaders due between March 11 and 13.
The conference, which will be sponsored by His Highness the Amir Sheikh
Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, is part of the ministry's strategy purposed
to promote partnership with others and to curtail fanaticism and intolerance,
he said.
"We aim to respect counter opinions in order to help in the achievement of
multiplicity in views and opinions and in coexistence between Muslims and
others," he added. (end)
