CAIRO, Feb 22 (KUNA) -- Two unknown gunmen shot dead Mohammad Abdul-Salam,
a National Security col., the Egyptian Ministry of Interior said Saturday
evening.
The accident took place in Zagaziz city, Sharqia governorate, to the east
of Cairo, as the senior police officer entered his car.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his fatal
injuries, according to a statement by the ministry.
The assailants fled the scene and the security services are tracking them
down, the statement added. (end)
