DOHA, Feb 19 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti racer, FIA Middle East Rally Championship (Group N) winner Mishari Al-Dhafiri, confirmed his readiness to participate at the FIA ME Rally Championship 2014 to be held here on Thursday.
In an interview with KUNA on Wednesday, Al-Dhafiri expressed optimism and hope for winning the first place in the tournament, stressing his strong confidence in his ability to continue racing in the FIA ME Rally Championship (N Group).
He added that he completed on Tuesday the first day of training in preparation for the next stages of the rally, noting that he will resume the training sessions today as he is "very eager" to win.
The tournaments of QMMF Qatar International Rally, round one of the 2014 FIA ME Rally Championship, are known to be the most difficult for both the racers and racecars as it has a 510 kilometer racetrack and consists of 260 kilometer tournaments.
The performance rally will take place on Thursday on Corniche Road at 6:00 p.m., while the main race will kick off on Friday.
The event will be attended by several prominent figures from the GCC countries and the Middle East.
Qatari racer Nasser bin Saleh Al-Attiyah won the title for the tenth time in 11 years last January in a Ford Fiesta RRC.
The Kuwaiti racers participating at the rally are Salah bin Eidan, Mishari Al-Dhafiri and Massoud Al-Saleh. (end) ayr.ba KUNA 191002 Feb 14NNNN
