Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah at the Kuwait-based Indian Doctors Forum
KUWAIT, Feb 1 (KUNA) -- Under the patronage of His Highness the Amir of
Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Kuwait-based Indian
Doctors Forum was held Friday evening at the Regency Hotel.
His Highness the Amir assigned Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Sheikh Ali
Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah to represent him at the event.
In his speech during the Forum, Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah conveyed His Highness
the Amir's greetings and appreciation to the Indian doctors forum and to the
Indian community at large.
"The historical ties between Kuwait and India have been based on strong
friendship. Indian forum has further strengthened the bond," he added.
Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah congratulated the members of Kuwait-based Indian
doctors forum on their 10th year celebration and the role in offering
high-quality medical care services as well as help upgrade the health care
system in Kuwait.
He also commended the former Indian ambassador to Kuwait Satish C. Mehta
for all his work and effort during his tenure in Kuwait and welcomed the new
Indian ambassador to Kuwait Sunil Jain.
"On this occasion, I would like to congratulate the members of the forum
for being bestowed with the prestigious "Bharatiya Pravasi Award" last year by
the honorable President of India, It gives me great pleasure to inagurate
"Docfest 2014" and declare it open," Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah noted.
For his part, Dr. Amir Ahmed, President of Indian Doctors Forum expressed
gratitude for His Highness the Amir's sponsorship of the forum and support to
Indian doctors in Kuwait.
Dr. Ahmed presented a memorial gift on this occasion to His Highness the
Amir's representative Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah. (end)
