Chairman of Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah leaves Rome

ROME, Nov 23 (KUNA) -- Chairman of Association of National Olympic
Committees (ANOC) Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on Saturday
concluded a three-day visit to Rome where he took part in the 42nd European
Olympic Committees (EOC) General Assembly.
The two-day annual EOC General Assembly session came to a close earlier
today.
In the Vatican City State Sheikh Ahmad, along with sports leaders from
around the globe, met Pope Francis this afternoon.
He also held talks with EOC President Patrick J. Hickey, Italian Minister
of Opportunity, Sports and Youth Josefa Idem, and President of the Italian
National Olympic Committee (CONI) Giovanni Malago
Sheikh Ahmad was seen off at Ciampino Airport by Kuwait Ambassador to Italy
Sheikh Ali Khaled Al-Sabah and other staffers of the embassy. (end)
