Palestine will "benefit a lot" from Arab-Africa convergence

KUWAIT, Nov 15 (KUNA) -- The Palestinian Authority will "benefit a lot" from the convergence of Arab countries and the African continent and will positively be affected by this move, a Palestinian diplomat said here on Friday.
Palestinian Ambassador to Kuwait Rami Tahboub told Kuwait News Agency in an exclusive interview that the real partnership between the Arab countries and the African continent would help the Palestinian cause.
"Such a partnership between the two regions will work on limiting the Zionist entity from intruding into the agricultural and water projects in Africa," Tahboub added.
He said that Israel possesses a real strategic threat against Arab interests especially as they are now concentrating their projects in a number of African countries overlooking the Red Sea.
He added that the State of Kuwait, led by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and his far-sighted vision play a significant role in limiting the danger of the Israeli intrusion in Africa through hosting the Africa-Arab Summit.
He pointed out that the economic aspects of any action is supplementary to the political sphere and that is what the State of Kuwait has been doing.
He invited Arab and African businessmen to invest in Palestine as it possesses adequate manpower and excellent expertise.
He said that Kuwait, represented in His Highness the Amir, has always been in the forefront of countries that support the unification of regional and international efforts aimed at the welfare of all peoples. (end) tg KUNA 151611 Nov 13NNNN
