KUWAIT, Oct 21 (KUNA) -- Secretary General of the National Council for
Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) Ali Al-Yoha opened Ibrahim Ismail's
exhibition at the Arts Gallery Monday evening.
The exhibition, Ismail's 17th, showed how the formative artist's paintings
were influenced by the environment of Kuwait and life in old Kuwait.
The paintings were scenes of ship building, diving and hunting, as well as
folkloric dances.
Ismail has carefully selected his paintings, deriving the ideas from the
marine environment, waves and sea animals. (end)
