KUWAIT, July 19 (KUNA) -- Minister of Electricity, Water, and Public Works Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Ibrahim stated here on Friday that the recent power outages that occurred in several areas in Kuwait are due to thefts of copper cables organizers from electrical switching stations, not technical difficulties or lack in electric power.
The ministry is currently coordinating with the Ministry of Interior in order to detect identity of those who looted these cables and refer them to the authorities concerned, and put an end to these outages, Al-Ibrahim added to KUNA. (end) jy.abd.ma KUNA 191747 Jul 13NNNN
