RAMALLAH, June 26 (KUNA) -- Jewish settlers and personnel of the Israeli
intelligence burst into courtyard of Al-Aqsa holy mosque on Wednesday, said
Al-Aqsa Waqf and Islamic Heritage Association.
It said in a statement the settlers and 25 personnel of the intelligence
stormed the premises of the scared site through Al-Magharabeh gate.
Guards of the mosque resisted the intruders but a number of them managed to
"desecrate it," the statement added.
The mosque is one of the Muslims' holiest sites worldwide. (end)
