KUWAIT, May 28 (KUNA) -- Ministry of Higher Education has approved 4,500
scholarships for different majors for Kuwaitis for 2013-14 in more than 14
countries, the Minister said Tuesday.
Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf, also Minister of Education, told a news conference the
ministry's scholarship plan this year aimed at improving educational
institution through cooperation with topnotch universities worldwide.
The ministry will be collaborating with the universities with excellent
teaching cirrucula, he added.
Al-Hajraf said there would be scholarships for physics, chemistry and
mathematics.
He said 50 scholarships would be allocated for students with special needs
and another 50 scholarships for those wishing to study special needs studies.
Al-Hajraf said the top 50 excellent high school graduates would be
automatically granted scholarships not included in today's scholarship plan.
The ministry of higher education will hold a meeting next week to explain
to students how their future studies would be. (end)
