BEIRUT, May 10 (KUNA) -- Israeli warplanes carried out mock raids across
skies over southern parts of Lebanon, the official National News Agency (NNA)
reported on Friday.
The Israeli jets maneuvered in intensive flights, at medium altitude, over
Marjeyoun, Al-Khiam, Arqoub, Nabatiyeh and Iqlim Al-Tuffah, it added.
Earlier, Israeli MK reconnaissance aircraft flew at low altitude over the
southern regions of Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Secretary General of Lebanon's Hezbollah group, Seyyed Hassan
Nasrallah, said in a speech yesterday, "resistance fighters" were ready to
liberate the Syrian Golan heights. He also indicated at a declaration by
Damascus to supply Hezbollah with "game-changing" weapons.
Israeli warplanes, currently on intensive reconnaissance flights over
Lebanon, have recently raided military targets in neighboring Syria. Tel Aviv
said the strikes were intended to hinder dispatch of heavy-caliber arms from
the Syrian regime to Hezbollah in Lebanon. (end)
