SANAA, May 1 (KUNA) -- Yemeni President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi said Wednesday the political parties participating in the national dialogue are "very close" to full success.
"Today, we are so close to make a complete success and awaiting the dialogue's results, which will forge the new future of Yemen," President Hadi said during his meeting here with UN Envoy to Yemen Jamal Benoma and a number of UN experts.
The talks with the UN delegation dealt with several issues concerning the implementation progress of the political settlement in the country based on the Gulf initiative, as well as the national dialogue and southern issue, he said.
The Yemeni leader added that the dialogue is moving ahead very positively." For his part, Benomar conveyed the UN secretary general congratulations to President Hadi on the achievements made in the country, particularly the decisions of the armed forces restructuring.
The restructuring decisions were necessary and should be taken in the transitional stage to pave the way for the success of the national dialogue, he said.
UN supports all actions President Hadi made in order to stabilize Yemen, Benomar added. (end) az.mb KUNA 012136 May 13NNNN
