KUWAIT, April 1 (KUNA) -- Minister of Information, Minister of State for
Youth Affairs commissioner general of Kuwait's pavilion in Expo Milano 2015
fair, Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, discussed with the
participating executive team the country's preparation for this event.
In remarks to KUNA on Monday, the Minister stressed on importance of
Kuwait's participation in this international fair, themed "Feeding the Planet,
Energy for Life," due to be held with participation of 120 countries.
Kuwait's participation in the event will reflect its humanitarian and
civilized aspects, its achievements and developmental progress, he affirmed.
This participation comes upon the desire of His Highness the Amir Sheikh
Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and is greatly supported by the government.
Expo Milano will shed light on children all over the world, which gives
this fair a great importance and encourages local governmental bodies, namely
the Ministry of Information, to exert further effort to prepare for Kuwait's
participation in the event, he added.
Kuwait is perfectly prepared for this fair, and is keen to best benefit
from the experiences of participating experts in various fields, he said.
The Minister praised effort of the Kuwaiti executive team responsible for
preparing for Expo Milano, including representatives from the various
ministries and governmental institutions.
The Minister discussed with the team the progress of the work plan, besides
offering remarks on the preparatory program of the Kuwaiti participation in
the fair.
Sheikh Salman instructed the team to finish the preparatory program in due
time to allow the team to receive requests from companies willing to build and
decorate the Kuwaiti pavilion in the fair, according to the standards of the
organizing committee.
Expo Milano 2015 is the second largest rally in the world following the
Olympics, and the number of visitors is expected to hit 20 million, coming
from various countries. (end)
