ANKARA, Jan 2 (KUNA) -- Turkey said on Wednesday that it will dispatch
tomorrow 33 trucks carrying around 850 Tons of food, basic needs, and aid to
Syria, as part of the campaign to ease suffering during the winter season.
A Turkish humanitarian aid group said in a statement that the convoy will
begin its trip from Istanbul tomorrow morning carrying food supplies and aid
to ease the effects of cold winter.
The statement added that the trucks will travel to various Syrian cities,
among them Aleppo, Hama and Homs, among others.
According to the statement, the convoy is expected to arrive in Syria next
Saturday. (end)
