DUBAI, Nov 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwait won the UAE's first Arab Motocross
Championship which concluded here late Friday with the participation of 40
riders from all over the Arab world.
Riders from the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt, and Sudan
took part in the event.
Speaking to KUNA, Deputy Chairman of the Kuwaiti motocross committee and
manager of the team Hamad Al-Saif said that the Kuwaiti rider Mu'aath
Al-Ansari came in second place in the MX 1 event which was topped by the UAE's
Mohammad Al-Bloushi; however, Kuwaiti riders Mohammad Ja'far and Abdullah
Al-Shatti managed to win the first and second place in the MX 2 event.
With the conclusion of the event, Kuwait came in first with one gold and
two silver medals while the UAE and Bahrain came in second and third place
respectively. (end)
