Amir meets Awazim Sheikhs

KUWAIT, Nov 4 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Sunday the head of the Kuwaiti Azmi family Sheikh Habib bin Eid bin Jame' along with Sheikhs Sehaim bin Eid and Khalid bin Habib bin Eid, in presence of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The meeting, at Seif Palace, was also in presence of Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah.
Sheikh Khalid bin Habib bin Eid, on behalf of his father, read out a statement before His Highness the Amir, in which he said the family was saddened and greatly pained by recent actions and statements relayed by the media which constitute violation of Kuwaitis' ethics and social values.
The wise and the heads of families have the responsibility and duty to check all unlawful actions and unauthorized demonstrations, which would bring more harm than good, both for the people and the homeland, he said. This is to be pursued guided both by Kuwaiti values and by religious restraints.
The statement urged the people of Kuwait to mind law and order and to refrain from any form of abuse of security personnel, who have a duty to protect the best interest of the state and its people.
Kuwait and the other Gulf countries, he stressed, enjoy a unique historical relationship that binds ruler and subject, and all must preserve this boon and be wary of any act or word that compromises this state of affairs.(end) wsa KUNA 041249 Nov 12NNNN
