KUWAIT, Oct 16 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh
Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received at the Bayan Palace here on
Tuesday evening separately a number of chief delegates to the first Summit of
the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) which opened earlier today.
The meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf focused on
the bilateral ties between the two countries; it was attended by
Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry Khalid Salman Al-Jarallah and
Undersecretary at HH the Prime Minister's Diwan Sheikh Fahad Al-Jaber
Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, as well as the ambassadors of the two countries to each
other.
HH the Prime Minister also discussed Kuwait-China cooperation during his
meeting with Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative
Conference (CPPCC) Sun Jiazheng.
The meeting was attended by Kuwaiti Minister of Oil, Acting Minister of
Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Hani Abdulaziz; Minister of Finance, and Acting
Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr. Nayef Fallah
Al-Hajraf; and Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry Khalid Salman
Al-Jarallah, as well as the ambassadors of Kuwait and China to each other.
HH the Prime Minister met with Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri
Muhyiddin and his entourage in the presence of Kuwaiti Minister of Oil, Acting
Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Hani Abdulaziz; Minister of Finance, and
Acting Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr. Nayef Fallah
Al-Hajraf; and Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry Khalid Salman
Al-Jarallah, as well as the ambassadors of both countries.
He also discussed with Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Economic
Affairs Mohammed Hatta Rajasa and his entourage the friendly ties between both
nations.
The meeting was attended by Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry
Khalid Salman Al-Jarallah, Undersecretary at HH the Prime Minister's Diwan
Sheikh Fahad Al-Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah and Assistant Undersecretary at HH
the Prime Minister's Diwan Sheikh Nasser Ahmad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, as
well as the ambassadors of both countries.
HH Sheikh Jaber discussed the bilateral ties with Japan during his meeting
with Naoki Kazama, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan,
who leads his country's delegation to the ACD summit.
The meeting was attended by Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry

HH Sheikh Jaber received Deputy Prime Minister of Laos Somsavat Lengsavat
and his entourage in the presence of Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Foreign
Ministry Khalid Salman Al-Jarallah, Undersecretary at HH the Prime Minister's
Diwan Sheikh Fahad Al-Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah and Assistant Undersecretary
at HH the Prime Minister's Diwan Sheikh Nasser Ahmad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah,
as well as the ambassadors of both countries.
He also held talks with Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Dr. Dipu Moni and her
entourage on the friendly ties between both nations.
Dr. Moni conveyed to HH the Prime Minister a message from Prime Minister
Sheikha Hasina Wajed on ways to further cement the bilateral ties.
