Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah
KUWAIT, Oct 3 (KUNA) -- Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of
Information Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah urged on Wednesday
highlighting the humanitarian role of Kuwait on the global scale during the
Universal Exposition to be held in Milan, Italy, in 2015.
Sheikh Salman, also Kuwait's Commissioner General at the Milano Expo 2015,
will head for Milan on October 12 to sign the contract of Kuwaiti
participation at the event themed "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life,"
according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Information here.
During his meeting earlier today with members of the Kuwaiti technical
team, Sheikh Salman instructed the team to shed light on the Kuwaiti
humanitarian and civilization contributions particularly the activities made
under instructions of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber
Al-Sabah.
"The State of Kuwait made remarkable achievements in the global efforts to
combat poverty and famine, promote economic development and provide decent
life for all people of the world," the statement quoted Sheikh Salman as
saying.
During the meeting, Sheikh Salman discussed the Kuwaiti scientific paper
titled "energy and water" which will be presented at the Milan gathering.
He named Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Water and Electricity
for water management and maintenance affairs Mohammad Hejji Bushehri head of
the Kuwaiti team at the preparatory meetings of the event.
He thanked the state institutions for their cooperation with the technical
teams in preparing for the event which will gather representatives of up to
100 countries. (end)
