DOHA, Sept 12 (KUNA) -- Qatar condemned here on Wednesday the attack
against US Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, yesterday that led to death of the US
Ambassador and three other workers at the consulate.
The attack came amid protests over an American-produced film said to
ridicule Islam and the Prophet Muhammad.
The Qatari government has expressed its denunciation and rejection of the
attack and any similar assault regardless of its type and source, a foreign
ministry official source said in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA).
At the same time, Qatar reiterated its firm stance in refusing whatever
insults and degrades the religion of Islam, divine religions, and other
beliefs, affirmed the source.
Also, the statement called on all for restraint, solve matters peacefully,
and refrain from all types of violence when expressing refusal to whatever
insults sanctities and beliefs.
Moreover, it expressed Qatar's condolences to the government and people of
the United States, as well as families of the victims. (end)
