ISLAMABAD, Aug 24 (KUNA) -- Pakistani security forces killed five Afghan
militants, who attacked their bordering checkpost with rockets and heavy arms,
said officials.
A group of militants from Afghanistan attacked bordering checkpost inside
Pakistani territory in Lower Dir district, security officials told KUNA.
They said the militants fired rockets and used heavy arms.
Officials said that forces promptly responded to the attack and killed five
militants. They said at least five others were also wounded but they managed
to flee back to Afghanistan along with their other accomplices.
Pakistan has protested with the Afghan government to take measures to stop
such attacks. (end)
