Palestinian killed, two wounded in Israeli shelling in E. Jerusalem

GAZA, July 30 (KUNA) -- One Palestinian was killed and two others injured early on Monday when Israeli troops opened fire at a checkpoint east of occupied Jerusalem.
Local radio stations reported that Akram Abo Badie, 50, was killed when Israeli troops opened fire at him. Two more Palestinians were also wounded in the attack at Al-Zaeem checkpoint east of Jerusalem.
The radio added that the wounded were immediately rushed to Ramallah government hospital for treatment.
For his part, Spokesman of the Israeli Army claimed that the Palestinians who were in the car did not stop at the checkpoint, a matter which prompted the troops to open fire. (end) mzt.sfm KUNA 301458 Jul 12NNNN
