BERLIN, July 14 (KUNA) -- German security authorities arrested one of the
leaders of the Salafist front at Frankfurt, the public prosecution said
Saturday to confirm a report published by Focus weekly magazine earlier today.
German authorities arrested 31-year-old Peter B who was deported by Turkey
to Germany, the prosecution said in a statement.
Der Spiegel said Peter B and his family disappeared in Waziristan, near the
common borders between Pakistan and Afghanistan for a whole year. He then
infiltrated into Iran and then to Turkey. He was arrested near Istanbul.
Germany is accusing Peter B of being a member in a criminal group and
recruiting people to carrying out terrorist operations in Afghanistan. (end)
