SANAA, April 1 (KUNA) -- Clashes erupted in military checkpoint in south of
Yemen, between Ansar al-Sharia and Yemeni forces, that led to the death of
seven soldiers, a security source said on Sunday.
Ansar al-Sharia, affiliated with al-Qaeda, have attacked a military
checkpoint in Hadhramout governorate, killing seven soldiers and wounding
others, some with severe injuries, the source added.
The attack came a day after clashes with al-Qaeda militants that killed 13
soldiers in Lahj providence, south of Yemen. (end)
