TUNIS, March 26 (KUNA) -- Spanish foreign minister Jose Manuel
Garcia-Margallo commended here Monday the democratic transformation in
Tunisia, saying it would positively affect democracies in other Arab countries.
"We are working with the European Union (EU) countries to supporting
Tunisia in this stage particularly towards activating the role of the civil
society and necessary allocations," Garcia-margallo told reporters after a
meeting with his Tunisian counterpart Rafeeq Abdulsalam.
Abdulsalam said their meeting was constructive and was a change to exchange
views over the Arab Maghreb Union and developments in the Middle East region.
Spain is Tunisia's fourth trade partner and the sixth exporter.
Spain has around 310 million euros worth of investments in Tunisia. (end)
